Whether you need a warm drink for the winter, or you want to incorporate simple lifestyle changes into your diet, here are some fun teas to try. Check with your doctor first, then enjoy some of the recommendations below.
Five healthy teas you may want to use as you enhance your health:
Chamomile- A calming tea that soothes a sensitive stomach or bedtime wakefulness. Good for indigestion, poor appetite, and nervous energy. It helps relive stress and insomnia.
Ginger- Ginger has anti-nausea and anti-inflammatory effects. It helps alleviate the symptoms of arthritis and is thought to have blood-thinning properties. It also protects against migraine headaches and is said to be a tonic and a mood lifter.
Hyssop- Very calming and an excellent tonic often used to treat bronchitis, asthma, and other respiratory infections. It also soothes the digestive tract and can be an effective remedy against indigestion, gas, and bloating.
Peppermint- Excellent for indigestion. Peppermint may also reduce fevers and the symptoms of motion sickness. Mix with Lavender to treat migraines.
Raspberry- May be used to relieve diarrhea. Has also been used as an eyewash for conjunctivitis and a mouthwash for mouth ulcers.
