Adoptive Parents

In addition to being Caregiver Appreciation Month, November is also National Adoption Month.
James 1:27 says, “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction…”
Adoptive parents are certainly caregivers. The physical and emotional needs of adoptive children can far surpass that of biological children, not to mention the fact that adopted children have a much more difficult time bonding with the new parents.
I once wrote a story about this to contribute to a book series, but blog posts are too short for entire stories.  Instead, this post was created to point adoptive/ foster/ step-parents to a valuable resource.
Focus on the Family has a tremendous amount of articles and information for parents raising children they did not give birth to.
