Do you have anxiety?
Is anything causing you to be fearful or worried?
Parenting/ caregiving can be stressful. Anxiety can plague anyone. Here is a prayer to help combat anxiety:
Dear Lord, You have told me to be anxious for nothing, yet anxiety still plagues me. I still fret, worry, and I am overcome by unhealthy emotions. Father, I wish I could be more like Daniel. Daniel knew that documents had been signed against him, yet he opened his windows and boldly prayed to You (Daniel 6:10).
God, You know the inner workings of my mind and heart because You made me (Psalm 139). Lord, help me to be like the Psalmist in Psalm 56:3, “When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.” Please deliver me from all these worries (Psalm 34:4). I am asking now for Your peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, if there is a situation I need to get out of, please give me Your clear guidance. If I need to change my sleep patterns, eating habits, exercise regime, negative friends, or anything else please alert me.
I know I can cast my anxiety on You because You care for me (1 Peter 5:6-7). Help me to give You the anxiety and leave these worries with You. Lord, help me not to pick the anxiety or the fear back up.
Father, you told me 365 times in Your Word to “fear not”. You were strategic to place one “fear not” in the Bible for every day of the year. Father, You knew I would have something to be distressed over each of the 365 days of every year. You also knew that each day would offer more than one thing to be worried about.
Lord, whether it is a personal or a global need, You know all. You see all, hear all, and have a plan for all. I may not find out why things unfolded the way they did until I meet You face to face. Until then, help me to fully rely on, lean on, and trust in You.
For all this and more I give You praise, Amen.
